Legislative session ends without addressing the concerns of most Mainers

STATE HOUSE – The Maine legislature adjourned today without addressing the concerns of the Maine people. Too many people are struggling to keep up with the rising cost of living, deal with a decreasing quality of life, and pay their bills. Despite several proposals from Republicans to allow people to keep more of what they earn, lower energy costs and address high taxes, Democrats pursued an agenda focused on restricting constitutional rights and increasing government spending. Democrats defunded roads and bridges, the state police, and struggling dairy farmers. They also left nursing homes, veterans’ homes, and mental health needs unfunded. Maine deserves better and legislative Republicans will take their case directly to the people.   MORE: House Republican Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham gave his take on the session this morning on WVOM’s George Hale & Ric Tyler Show: REWIND 04 18 Whitcomb & Faulkingham 1500 | VOM (wvomfm.com)
