Alfred and portions of Lyman and Waterboro
Representative Heidi Sampson of Alfred is currently serving her fourth term representing House District 136, which includes the town of Alfred and part of Lyman and Waterboro. She serves the 131st Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Educational and Cultural Affairs as she has for the previous three terms. Prior to being elected as a Maine State Representative in 2016, she was appointed to serve on the Maine State Board of Education by Governor LePage.
Rep. Sampson attended St. Lawrence University studying Bio-Chemistry and Sports Medicine. She has spent her career as a research scientist, educator, ski school director, farmer, and coach. Heidi serves her community as a member of the York Republican Committee and the Gun Owners of Maine. Over her career she has received too many awards to list.
Heidi and her husband, Bob, have three children; Dane, Erik, and Brianna. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors farming, skiing, hiking, and swimming. She also takes joy in teaching her grandchildren to read.
