Representative Robert Nutting of Oakland is currently serving his ninth, non-consecutive, term in the Maine House. He represents District 66, which includes the towns of Oakland, Mercer, Smithfield, Starks, and part of Sidney.
Rep. Nutting serves the 131st Legislature on both the Joint Committee on Criminal Justice and Public Safety as well as the Joint Standing Committee on Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services. Rep. Nutting had the honor of serving as Speaker of the House in the 125th Legislature. He previously served on Joint Standing Committees on: Banking and Insurance, Health and Human Services, Labor and Housing, Transportation, and Appropriations and Financial Affairs.
Rep. Nutting earned his B.S. in Pharmacy from Massachusetts College and is a retired pharmacist. He is a member of the Oakland Lions Club and is serving his sixth, non-consecutive, term on the Oakland Town Council.
Robert and his wife, Wendy, have three children and five grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, woodworking, and gardening at his home.
