Representative Michael Lemelin of Chelsea is currently serving his third term representing House District 53, which includes the towns of Chelsea, Pittston, Randolph, and Dresden. Michael is also serving his third term on the 132nd Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services, where he is the Lead Republican and an outspoken advocate for people with disabilities. He is also a member of the Government Oversight Committee where he is a strong advocate for children.
Rep. Lemelin graduated Brunswick High School and went on to further his education in Aerospace Engineering. During his career, Mr. Lemelin was once a professional commercial airline pilot. Currently he is the business manager of Chiro-Works in Hallowell, where his wife works as a chiropractor. He previously chaired the Chelsea Planning Board and served on the RSU 12 school board. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Michael and his wife, Dr. Kelly Lemelin, have three children: Christian, Michelle, and Joseph.
