Michael Lance is serving his first term as the Representative for House District 79, which includes Paris, Sumner, West Paris, and Woodstock.
Mike is retired teacher of thirty-five years who serves as a volunteer firefighter for Paris Fire. He is also part of the Mission Men of Oxford Hills, a volunteer group that builds ramps for people with mobility issues in the Oxford Hills area. A former football coach, Mike was named Class C Assistant Coach of the Year in 2017 for his work at Spruce Mountain.
Lance is an active member of the Oxford Lodge, the Norway/Paris Fish and Game Club, and Saint Catherine of Sienna. Mike earned a B.S. in Natural Science Education from Plymouth State College and a Certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern Maine.
Mike and his wife Jennifer have three children together. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, cycling, motorcycling, boating, and skiing. Mike is also a Bob Ross painter, shooter, workout junkie, naturalist, Christian and conservative.
