Herseytown Township, Chester, East Millinocket, Long A Township, Medway, Millinocket, Mount Chase, North Penobscot, Patten, Woodville, Grindstone Township, and Soldiertown Township

Representative Kathy Javner of Chester is currently serving her third term representing House District 29, which includes the towns of Herseytown Township, Chester, East Millinocket, Long A Township, Medway, Millinocket, Mount Chase, North Penobscot, Patten, Woodville, Grindstone Township, and Soldiertown Township.  She is serving her third term on the 131st Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Health and Human Services.

Rep. Javner learned cross-cultural studies and has spent her career as a teacher, development worker, and homemaker.  Her dad worked at the Lincoln Pulp and Paper mill for 30 years and she learned value of hard work from her parents. Kathy and her family returned to Maine in 2014 after living in West Africa for over ten years.

Kathy and her husband, Chris, have three children; Christopher, Sahara, and Katahdin.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading and hiking.
