Rep. David Haggan

Hampden and Newburgh
Representative David Haggan of Hampden is currently serving his fourth term representing House District 36, which includes the towns of Hampden and Newburgh. He is serving his third term on the 131st Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Judiciary. Prior to that, Rep. Haggan served on the Joint Standing Committee on Marine Resources.
Rep. Haggan earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maine. For 33 years, Haggan has taught high school and middle school. Currently, he teaches middle school Social Studies in MSAD 22. David also serves his community as a member of the Hampden Rifle & Pistol Club, the National Rifle Association, Freemasons Mystic Lodge #65, and the Ana Shrine Second Section.
David and his wife, Kimberly, have two children; Jenny and Nick. In his spare time, Mr. Haggan enjoys being outdoors fishing, hunting, boating, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, ice fishing, and volunteering with the Shrine.
