Representative Larry Dunphy of Embden is currently serving his first fourth, non-consecutive, term representing House District 72, which includes the towns of Athens, Harmony, Anson, Bingham, Caratunk, Embden, Moscow, Northeast Somerset, Pleasant Ridge Plantation, Ripley, Seboomook Lake, Solon, Big Six Township, Dole Brook Township, Elm Stream Township, Indian Stream Township, Long Pond Township, Moxie Gore Township, Parlin Pond Township, Pittston Academy Grant Township, Sandbar Tract Township, Sandy Bay Township, Sapling Township, Taunton & Raynham Academy Grant Township, Tomhegan, Concord Township, Lexington Township, Rockwood Strip, Rockwood Strip T1, Rockwood Strip T2, Seboomook Township, and Central Somerset. 

Rep. Dunphy serves on the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Energy, Utilities, and Technology. He previously served on that committee, including time as the Ranking Member.

Rep. Dunphy studied at New Hampshire Technical Institute.  For 34 years he has worked as a consultant in the pulp and paper industry. 

Larry and his wife, Cynthia, have three children; Tyler, Heidi, and Christopher.  In his spare time, Larry enjoys piloting aircrafts and powered parachutes.  He also spends his time coaching and pursuing outdoor activities that include: skiing, bicycling, kayaking, and trekking.
