Representative Meldon “Micky” Carmichael of Greenbush is currently serving his second term representing House District 18, which includes the towns of Amherst, Aurora, part of East Hancock, Eastbrook, Great Pond, Mariaville, Osborn,  Dedham,  Otis, Burlington, Greenbush,  Lowell,  Passadumkeag, Clifton, Grand Falls Township, Greenfield Township, Summit Townships, Beddington, Cherryfield, Deblois, Day Block Township, Devereaux Township, Sakon Township, East Central Penobscot, and part of North Washington.  He is serving his second term on the 131st Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Taxation.

Rep. Carmichael is the Founder and President of Carmichael Transport Inc., a company which employs 100 people and generates $10 million in yearly revenue.  His company has twice been recognized nationally by the U.S. Postal Service for outstanding service by contractors.  Personally, Rep. Carmichael is a two-time Eagle Spirit Award Winner.

In his free time, Micky is a private pilot who enjoys flying.  He also enjoys being outdoors hunting and fishing.
