Rep. Andrews to Represent House Republicans on State Committee

AUGUSTA – Rep. John Andrews (R-Paris) was selected by the Maine House Republican Caucus to serve as their representative to the Maine Republican Party State Committee. The seventy-nine member committee includes representatives from all of Maine’s sixteen counties, and will select a Party Chair at its’ January 28 meeting.

“I am grateful and excited for this opportunity,” said Rep. Andrews. “I’ve has some success in pushing back against the anti-science agenda in our schools. I really want to get the state committee members engaged in the effort to help our children catch up academically and focus on reading, writing and arithmetic. We need to all work together to ensure that test scores do not drop further and that our children’s mental health is not comprised. The Maine GOP can be the great resource advocating for parents rights and their ability to have ultimate say over their children’s education and developmental needs. Parents are the power and we need to get them engaged to benefit our kids’ education.”

The Maine Republican Party is the state’s political organization supporting the election of Republican officials from the Presidency, United States Senate, Maine Legislature and hundreds of local elected town, county, and city official offices.
