House Republicans Urge speedy consideration of heating assistance for Mainers struggling to heat their homes
STATE HOUSE – House Republicans announced today that they have submitted the names of four members of their caucus to serve on the Joint Standing Committee on Appropriations and Financial Affairs. They are also calling for swift consideration of heating assistance legislation designed to help struggling Mainers heat their homes. House Republicans will have four members on the thirteen member committee that develops Maine’s biennial budget and works on other spending and borrowing initiatives.
“I am pleased to announce that I have submitted the names of four Republicans to the Speaker from our caucus to serve on the Appropriations Committee this session,” said House Republican Leader Billy Bob Faulkingham. “We will have a geographically diverse combination of seasoned veterans and youthful energy representing Maine citizens. We urge speedy consideration of heating assistance to help struggling Mainers heat their homes. “
