Bill with potential to lower energy costs to have public hearing

STATE HOUSE– Rep. Steven Foster (R-Dexter) announced today that his bill to increase the use of natural gas as a means to lower energy costs will have a Public Hearing tomorrow.

“Natural gas has the potential to decrease energy prices for consumers. My bill directs the PUC to work with other entities to find ways to bring natural gas into Maine at lower cost. This will help lower electric rates while we depend on natural gas fueled generators to get us through the transition period over the next couple of decades,” said Rep. Foster.
